Our particularly sturdy and robust sandal with hand-stitched midsole in a small variation.

Mexico Handstitch Velour is a custom sandal with special qualities. It differs from the slightly less elaborate model Mexico by featuring a midsole made of solid cowhide underneath the cork footbed. We hand-stitch this midsole with an additional second seam through the entire leather structure of the sandal. Additionally, the suede side of the leather is emphasized in our latest, most stable version.

A small variation but clearly visible. What is the hand stitching and additional sole construction for? The even greater stability makes these hand-stitched sandals an excellent choice when the sandal needs to last a very long time or will be subjected to more demanding conditions. For example, if it is regularly used for long distances or if the sandal needs to bear more weight, such as a stable everyday sandal for larger individuals. Those who often traverse uneven terrain will also notice how resistant these sandals are, for example, on pebbles and sharp stones. The increased stiffness is very beneficial here.

What sets the oak-tanned suede leather apart from the others? In addition to the already outstanding construction and features of the "Mexico Handstitch" sandal, the suede leather version offers further remarkable advantages. The insole, made of 3-4mm thick, vegetable-tanned leather, ensures that your feet are kept in an optimal environment. This high-quality leather not only guarantees exceptional durability of the sandal but also provides an extremely comfortable wearing experience. Thanks to its natural properties, the leather regulates sweat, ensuring that your feet always stay fresh and dry. The slightly roughened surface of the outsole contributes to better traction, whether you are moving on uneven terrain or smooth ground. This special quality of the leather also prevents unsightly cracks from forming after prolonged wear, further extending the sandal's lifespan. The traditional tanning technique with oak bark gives the leather a unique structure, providing the sandal with additional robustness and stability.
